Abstract

The essence of this study was basically to examine objectively the socio-economic dilemma and challenges posed by population growth tothe indigenous people of Ogu Urban Town in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area in Rivers State, Nigeria. We adopted the cross sectional survey design. The population study was solely based on the indigenous people of Ogu Urban Town of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State using the adult population from the age of 18 and above. Ogu/Bolo Local Government has a total population of 74,683 people living in the communities.
